CSP GMO Lab offer Qualitative and Quantitative PCR tests for GMO seed, processed food and feed samples. Our clients include seed companies, breeders and producers of non-GMO food products. For example, we test crude oil of Canola, Soybean and Corn.

We employ procedures to extract high quality of DNA from difficult samples (such as oil) and use specific primers to detect genetic elements such as P35S, NOS, E9. We also offer Real-time PCR tests for specific genetic events such as Roundup ready Canola, Roundup ready Soy and many others.

Real time PCR is a technique used to monitor the progress of a PCR reaction in real time. It is based on the detection of the fluorescence produced by a reporter molecule which increases, as the reaction proceeds. This occurs due to the accumulation of the PCR product with each cycle of amplification. The fluorescence could be seen on a computer monitor while target is getting amplified. Also there is no need for the post PCR processing which saves the resources and the time. These advantages help us give our customers better turnaround time and a cost effective assay.
