A Same-Day or Next-Day Plant Pathogen Testing Service is Coming Soon to CSP Labs
CSP Labs is preparing to launch CSP Labs Express, a new rapid testing service designed to deliver same-day or next-day results for key plant pathogens. This service is being developed to help growers, consultants, and researchers make faster decisions when time is critical.
CSP Labs Express will debut with select tests for strawberry pathogens and will expand over time based on customer needs and industry demand. Our initial test menu will include the following pathogens, which represent some of the most significant disease challenges facing the strawberry industry:
- Phytophthora genus (crown and root rot) – RPA
- Verticillium dahliae – RPA
- Macrophomina phaseolina – RPA
- Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. fragariae – RPA
CSP Labs Express will utilize rapid diagnostic methods including RPA (Recombinase Polymerase Amplification), LAMP (Loop-mediated Isothermal Amplification), and rapid strip tests. These methods allow for faster turnaround times compared to traditional PCR or culture-based methods.
A New Streamlined Sample Submission Experience
Alongside the testing service, CSP Labs Express will launch a new sample submission website built specifically for speed and ease of use in the field. Key features include mobile-friendly design optimized for smartphones, FedEx shipping label or QR code generation for easy drop-off at your local FedEx Ship Center, and it provides our internal team improved visibility to ensure adequate staffing is ready when samples arrive.

The Express service is an extension of CSP Labs’ commitment to practical, reliable plant diagnostic support, delivered on an accelerated timeline.
