CSP Labs Asia is now offering SNP marker-based genotyping services, beginning with tomato. Using KASP technology, the service supports hybrid purity testing, variety identification, and genetic fingerprinting for seed companies, breeders, and nurseries.
Hybrid Purity and Variety Identification
Hybrid purity testing can be used to evaluate the genetic purity of hybrid seed lots and identify potential off-types. Variety identification uses SNP marker profiles to help confirm and differentiate varieties based on their genetic characteristics.
Genetic fingerprinting can also be used to establish reference profiles for hybrids, parental lines, and varieties. These profiles provide a basis for future genetic comparisons and identification.
Testing can be performed using established SNP marker panels or customized panels based on project requirements. CSP Labs Asia is launching the service with tomato, with additional crops planned as genotyping capabilities continue to expand.
